Official Washington County records come from government custodians, not this private guide. The routes below identify which local or Florida office can answer a request and clarify the limited role of this website.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that created or maintains the Washington County record:

  • Court case files: review the criminal court case guide or contact the Washington County Clerk at 1293 Jackson Avenue, Chipley, (850) 638-6289, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Florida criminal history: use Florida Department of Law Enforcement Criminal History Records
  • Sheriff reports: contact Records Custodian Terisa Hayes at 711 Third Street, Chipley, (850) 638-6070, records@wcso.us, during Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. hours
  • Bookings and current custody: contact Washington County Jail, 1100 Brickyard Road, Chipley, (850) 638-6110
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Sealing or expunction: begin with the current FDLE certification process, then file an eligible petition through the Clerk

Sheriff requests should identify an existing report by date, location, report number, or record type. The official Chapter 119 notice explains that an email address used for a request can itself become a public record; phone, written, and in-person routes are available.
